DU Datesheet December 2026: How to Check Your Exam Schedule (All Programmes)
The Delhi University datesheet for December 2026 / January 2027 semester exams is out. Here's how to find your exact exam date by programme and semester, for Regular, SOL, and NCWEB students — plus what to do once you have it.
If you're searching for the DU datesheet, here's the short answer first: the University of Delhi has released the tentative datesheet for the December 2026 / January 2027 semester exams, covering Semester 1, 3, 5 (and the corresponding even semesters for backlog/ER papers) across every UG programme — Regular, SOL, and NCWEB.
You can look up your exact exam date, paper by paper, on our DU Datesheet page — search by course and semester, no PDF-hunting required. If you only need a handful of papers (say, your Core + one GE + one AEC), use the Custom Datesheet Builder instead, and get just those in chronological order.
The rest of this guide covers what the datesheet actually contains, how the official release works, and what to do in the days after you find your date.
Where the DU Datesheet Actually Comes From
Every session, DU's Examination Branch publishes the datesheet as a set of programme-wise PDFs on the official portal, misc.exam.du.ac.in, organised under three curriculum frameworks that run in parallel across different batches:
-
NEP-UGCF-2022 — the current framework for most undergraduate batches (B.A. Hons, B.Sc. Hons, B.Com Hons, B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Programme, Vocational Studies, and all the cross-cutting GE/DSE/AEC/SEC/VAC papers)
-
CBCS-LOCF — older-batch students still finishing out their programme under the previous curriculum
-
CBCS-LOCF-SOL — School of Open Learning students, published separately from Regular-mode papers
That's 40 separate programme PDFs across the three frameworks, many running into hundreds of individual paper-code entries. Finding your one exam date inside a 500-row PDF, sorted by paper code rather than by your subject name, is the actual problem most students run into — which is exactly what our datesheet tool exists to fix: we've already pulled every entry from the 17 main NEP-UGCF PDFs into one searchable, per-programme table.
How to Check Your DU Datesheet (Two Ways)
1. Browse by programme and semester — fastest for most students
Go to dupyq.online/exam-help/datesheet, pick your programme (e.g. "B.A. (Hons)" or "B.Com (Prog)"), then your semester. You'll see every paper for that semester with its exam date, laid out as a normal table instead of a scanned PDF — and each row still links back to the original official source PDF, so you can double-check against the university's own notification if you want to.
2. Build a custom schedule for just your papers
If your combination of Core + Elective + GE + SEC/AEC/VAC papers is spread across multiple category PDFs (very common under NEP-UGCF), use the Custom Datesheet Builder. Select exactly the papers you're actually appearing for, and it compiles them into one chronological list — so you see your real exam sequence instead of piecing it together from five different PDFs yourself.
3. Straight from the university (for official verification)
The University's own portal is misc.exam.du.ac.in/datesheetnd26. This is the authoritative source — if there's ever a discrepancy, the official PDF wins. Our tool sources directly from these same notifications, but always worth a final check close to your exam date.
Important: The Datesheet Is Tentative
DU's own portal explicitly flags this datesheet as tentative and advises students to check regularly for revisions. In practice, this means:
-
Individual paper dates can shift by a few days if there's a clash or a college-specific issue
-
A revised datesheet is sometimes issued closer to the exam window — always for specific programmes/papers, not usually a full re-release
-
The safest habit is to re-check your date sheet about a week before your first paper, and again a day or two before each individual exam
If you bookmark our datesheet page, you can just re-search your programme each time rather than re-downloading PDFs from the university portal.
Regular vs. SOL vs. NCWEB: Know Which One Applies to You
A lot of the confusion around "the DU datesheet is wrong" or "I can't find my paper" comes from checking the wrong mode:
| Student type | Datesheet framework | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Regular college student (on-campus) | NEP-UGCF-2022 or CBCS-LOCF, depending on your batch year | Programme-wise PDF under Regular mode |
| School of Open Learning (SOL) | CBCS-LOCF-SOL | Separate SOL-specific PDF, even for the same programme name |
| NCWEB | Listed within the relevant programme category, marked NCWEB | Same portal, NCWEB-tagged entries |
If you're a SOL student searching by your programme name and not finding your paper, you're very likely looking at the Regular-mode file — search specifically for the SOL variant instead. Our datesheet page covers the main NEP-UGCF sheets (most of which already include SOL students); the SOL-only and CBCS-LOCF sheets are on DU's datesheet portal.
What to Do Once You Have Your Date
Finding the date is step one. Here's what matters next:
-
Cross-check against your admit card once it's released — the admit card is the final word on your exact date, time, and seat, and should match the datesheet, but confirm before exam week. See our Admit Card guide if you haven't downloaded yours yet.
-
Work backwards from your first exam date to build a study schedule — our Odd Semester Exam Preparation Roadmap has a week-by-week framework you can slot your real dates into.
-
Start solving previous year papers for your exact subjects — the DU PYQ archive has previous years' papers organised the same way as the datesheet, by programme and semester, so once you know your papers you can go straight to practicing them.
-
If a paper date clashes or looks wrong, don't assume — check the official portal directly and, if needed, raise it with your college's examination coordinator early, not the week of the exam.
Quick Answers
Is the DU datesheet released for all semesters at once?
Typically, odd semesters (1, 3, 5, 7) are the main December session; even-semester and backlog/ER papers for the same window are usually listed within the same release cycle but check your specific programme's PDF, since timing can vary slightly by category.
Why can't I find my paper code on the university PDF?
Paper codes in the official PDFs are often unique-paper-code (UPC) style, not your subject's common name — search by your DSC/DSE/GE code from your college enrolment, or use our tool, which is searchable by subject name.
Does the datesheet show exam timing/shift?
Yes — each entry includes the date and shift/timing alongside the paper. Both are pulled through on our datesheet page.
